Welcome

Welcome to the website of Sompting Village Hall.  The Hall is situated in West Street, Sompting, West Sussex.  One of Sompting’s most imposing and distinctive buildings, it provides ideal community facilities for the village of Sompting and its immediate vicinity.

Our users, both regular (mainly community organizations) and one-off, enjoy the Hall's homely, spacious and well-equipped facilities at a fraction of the cost that a commercial organisation would charge.  Regular users also benefit from a free web page facility on this site, and publicity opportunities via our marketing initiatives.

News (events at Sompting Village Hall unless otherwise stated)

Open Weekend Sat and Sun 6 and 7 June  The Hall was open to visitors as part of the Sompting and Adur Festivals.  Our many visitors saw the facilities the Hall has to offer and had the opportunity to discuss our hiring terms and see some of our user groups in action.  Features included working layouts by each of our 3 model railway clubs, a singing performance by one of our new user groups New Southern Musical Productions and displays by Sompting Village Morris (who performed over on Sompting Rec), Sompting WI, Rainbows End, Slimming World and Big Ted’s Nursery.  Special thanks to Veronica Lovesay from West Sussex N Gauge for single-handedly covering the all-important task of providing refreshments for visitors and “crew” all weekend.  Pictures soon.
